🐾 How Does the Cats vs. Dogs Competition Work?
Sniffdom is more than just marking territory—it’s a turf war.
Every player joins one of two sides: Dogs or Cats.
🐕 Team Dogs:
Dog owners (or walkers) who mark spots, walk miles, and expand their dog’s turf.
🐈 Team Cats:
Players without dogs who want to compete in sneaky, strategic ways—renaming spots, stealing marks, and prowling for territory.
🎮 How the Competition Works:
- Every time you walk, mark, or leave a sniff note, your activity earns points for your team.
- Dogs mark boldly; Cats sneakily rename and reclaim.
- Points are tallied by neighborhood, region, and globally.
You’ll see live leaderboards answering the ultimate question:
Who runs this neighborhood—Dogs or Cats?
🏆 What Counts for Your Team?
Action | Dogs | Cats |
---|---|---|
Mark a spot | ✔️ | ✔️ (called a “sneak” or “swipe”) |
Walk miles | ✔️ | ✔️ (“prowling”) |
React/comment | ✔️ Bark/Woof/Wag | ✔️ Hiss/Scratch/Nap |
Earn Bones | ✔️ | ✔️ |
Territory is tracked by % control of marked locations and total miles walked or prowled.
🔥 Why This is Fun:
It adds playful rivalry, bragging rights, and motivation to walk just a little farther…
or sneak just a little closer to someone else’s turf.
